The Phil Koubek (Co-beck) Project is your straightforward, fun lovin’, good time R&R band that plays dirty, sexy, groovy Rock & Roll.  They are a high energy twin guitar assault, with sing along hooks, and an infectious groove. Their music will make you work up a sweat while shakin' your tailfeather. You'll need a smoke and a shower after a night out with the PKP boyz.

Rising from the ashes of previous mid-Nebraska bands, PKP formed in 2021 to bring back the style of Rock & Roll that hasn’t been on the scene since the late 70’s/early 80’s. Influenced by bands like Kiss, AC/DC, Ace Frehley, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, Sammy Hagar, Ted Nugent, Skid Row, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, and Megadeth; PKP will time travel you back to the golden age of Rock. If you want to party and have a good time... PKP is your band!

In 2021, PKP recorded their debut album… I’m Your Rock Star… a full length, 12 track masterpiece. Utilizing the skills of producer Michael Beck of SoundVision Recording out of Phoenix, AZ, (Jake E Lee's Red Dragon Cartel, Escape The Hive), PKP was able to find a sound that celebrates their influences while sounding fresh and relevant to the times. This album delivers powerful rock anthems like “Darkest Part Of My Heart” & “Wake Me When It’s Over” and shows off the bands soulful side with the reflective “Shed That Skin”. You’ll be hooked from the album’s opener “Do You Want To R&R” to the closing track “I’m Your Rock Star”. Don’t just take our word for it, listen to Metal Bob from the Metal Bob Live Podcast… “This album smokes” & “Phil, you guys killed it!!! Very cool tunes!” And the Metal Maniac Jon Kruse of the radio show The Metal Manifesto states, "You'll want to listen to this album over and over again!"

Since the release of "I'm Your Rock Star", PKP has received many accolades. Metal Bob gave the album a 10/10 review... "This album is a F@#$ing banger!" & "This album has it all... killer riffs, sing-along hooks, dual guitar leads! You name it... it has it!" But Metal Bob didn't stop there... he selected "I'm Your Rock Star" as Metal Bob Live podcast's 2021 ALBUM OF THE YEAR! The Metal Maniac Jon Kruse, host of the Metal Manifesto on KZUM Lincoln, reviewed PKP's "I'm Your Rock Star" and states "When they played the 2022 KZUM benefit, they really impressed all the Metalheads there with their music, how tight it was, how catchy it was... They've captured that same feel and sound on their album." And continues "It shows in their music they grew up on the great Hard Rock/Metal of the 80's but when you add Phil's almost southern feel to his vocals, you really have something very unique, catchy, and makes you want to play it again and again."

The PKP boys got their names in print when the Arnold Sentinel ran a front-page story on the hometown heroes... and the North Platte Telegraph did a feature on the band's debut album, highlighting the unique story of their journey. In their first 8 months, PKP has opened for national acts like Stellar Circuits, Kingdom Collapse, and Escape The Hive. Other notable events include the Devil's Den Motorcycle Rally and Fecht Fest where PKP was a crowd favorite. PKP had the honor of being guests on the Metal Bob Live podcast twice (Episode 51 & 55), and since Phil has be offered, and accepted, a co-host role. PKP has also co-hosted multiple Metal Manifesto radio shows with the Metal Maniac Jon Kruse, aired around the globe. PKP has been played on over 50 radio stations/shows around the world, and in 117 countries. And their fan club in worldwide as well!

On Oct 27th, 2023, PKP released their follow up release to "I'm Your Rock Star", a 6 track EP titled "This is... PKP", featuring lead single "So Far Down" released Sep 15th, 2023. Though you always know what you'll get when putting on a PKP album, this album gives you a real taste of PKP's influences. Song's like "Heart Of A Man" and "Your Lonely Nights" give you a taste of their dynamic  heavier side, while "Let It Out", "Goin' Nowhere", and "She's A Roller" deliver that energized sound you've come to expect from the boys. And of course the lead single "So Far Down" combines it all it one song. A real "Don't want to miss moment" this album is!

They also plan to release "I'm Your Rock Star" on vinyl in the fall of 2023. New shows are being added to the calendar every day, so there's no excuse to miss seeing PKP laying it down live. Just make sure you're ready to have the time of your life! So, put on your sexiest outfit, and get ready for some kick butt R&R, brought to you courtesy of the Phil Koubek Project.
